-- Swindon, UK - Equipping Pastors Worldwide (EPW), a UK-based non-profit dedicated to training and resourcing pastors in under-resourced regions in the Global South, is celebrating 20 years of ministry. Given that there are very few trained pastors in the underserved global regions, EPW’s mission to empower church leaders through biblical education and practical ministry tools is more vital than when it was founded. EPW has impacted thousands of pastors across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. As they mark this milestone, the organization is looking to expand awareness and partnerships in the United States to strengthen their global mission to equip pastors to be faithful expositors of God’s Word, and ultimately the means through which the message of the good news of Jesus Christ changes countless lives through the hearing and living out the true gospel.
Founded in 2004, EPW has worked tirelessly to provide pastors in remote and resource-scarce areas with biblical training, mentorship, and essential ministry resources. Their programs include in-person workshops, digital training modules, and the distribution of biblically sound literature tailored to the needs of pastors serving in challenging environments.
“Our heart has always been to equip and empower pastors who otherwise have little access to sound biblical resources and training,” said Dave Holdt, Head of Training for EPW. “We believe that when pastors are well-equipped, they can shepherd their congregations more effectively, transforming communities from the inside out.”
Over the past two decades, EPW has facilitated training initiatives in over 20 countries, impacting thousands of pastors. With a growing demand for resources, the organization sees the United States as a strategic partner in furthering its mission.
EPW believes many American churches and Christian organizations share their passion for equipping strong global church leaders. The organization is seeking mission-minded individuals, churches, and foundations to invest in pastoral training that advances the gospel in hard-to-reach places. In fact, Richard Gray, EPW’s Executive Director, will be in the Raleigh-Durham area May 18-20, teaching and meeting with pastors and leaders to promote partnerships leading to future impact for the church in Africa and elsewhere in the Global South.
EPW is launching a capital campaign to support its expansion efforts, including the development of new, indigenous, in-country partnerships, digital resources, and translation projects. U.S. partners can get involved through financial contributions, resource donations, and volunteer engagement in training programs.
