New doxo 2025 report reveals that Americans spend approximately $166 billion per year on Mobile Phone services, breaking down the most expensive states and cities by spend in the U.S.

A new report released today by doxo reveals that 88% of American households with a mobile phone bill spend a median of $96 per month, which translates to $1,152 per year.

Through a statistical analysis of actual household payments across 97% of U.S. zip codes, doxoINSIGHTS' U.S. Mobile Phone Market Size and Household Spend Report for 2025 estimates that Americans collectively spend $166 billion each year on mobile phone services. This amount represents approximately 4% of the total $4.55 trillion spent on household bills annually.
